Deepika Padukone or Alia Bhatt – who will replace Anushka Sharma as the face of Prega News? Founder opens up about ‘high fees’ of Pathaan actress
In the past, many actresses like Kareena Kapoor Khan and Anushka Sharma have been associated with the brand Prega News to promote easily available pregnancy testing kits for women. Now the brand’s founder and co-founder of Mankind Pharma, Rajeev Juneja has opened up about his current hunt for actresses who will be replacing Anushka as the face of the brand. It is a known fact that the brand usually brings in new mothers to promote the pregnancy kit brand and according to Juneja, the current race is between Deepika Padukone and Alia Bhatt.
Recently in a conversation, Rajeev Juneja discussed Anushka Sharma who has been a brand ambassador for Prega News ever since her first pregnancy. “She is very good. Very straight, very disciplined. Matlab kam aisa hota hai. Koi tantrums nahi hai. Koi filmy wali baatein nahi hain (She generally works like that. No tantrums. No filmy talks). Army background se hain so maybe her ethics are different. Very professional.” Anushka is currently the mother of Vamika Kohli who is now 4 years old as well as Akaay who is now about a year old.
After sharing his good experience with Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was also the face of the brand before Sharma, Rajeev mentioned that he is keen on having Deepika Padukone on board but is unbale to finalize the deal because of her high remuneration. “Nahi, sign nahi kiya (No, we have not yet signed). Maybe her asking is too much for us”. The founder went on to explain about his team currently coordinating with other actresses like Alia Bhatt who is a mother to a two-year old Raha Kapoor and Deepika Padukone who had her first child Dua in September last year. In the same breath, Juneja also insisted that considering only 20 to 25 percent of their budget is allotted to the entire marketing and ad campaigns, he needs to keep the same in mind before signing on A-list actresses onboard.
Furthermore, speaking about the other popular brand from Mankind Pharma – Manforce condoms, Rajeev stated that he would like to have Janhvi Kapoor and Ranbir Kapoor endorse it. As of now, Kartik Aaryan has been roped in for the same and speaking about replacing Sunny Leone with the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 star, he shared, “Kartik Aaryan lene ka reason kya hai ki thoda sa male side ke andar we are supposed to go (We decided to get him because we thought it would be better to have a man as the brand ambassador)”.
