Alia Bhatt reveals Ranbir Kapoor sings Malayalam lullaby to Raha: “Whenever she wants to go to sleep…”

The inaugural episode of the new season of The Great Indian Kapil Show on Netflix was a star-studded affair, featuring the cast and crew of the upcoming film Jigra. The show, hosted by the comedian Kapil Sharma, welcomed Alia Bhatt, Vedang Raina, director Vasan Bala, and producer Karan Johar.

Alia Bhatt, a new mother to her daughter Raha, shared heartwarming anecdotes about her family life. She revealed that her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, has developed a unique bond with their little one, creating imaginative games to entertain her. One such game involves singing her a Malayalam lullaby titled 'Unni vavavo'. Alia fondly recalled how this lullaby was first introduced to her by their Malayalee nanny.  "Whenever Raha wants to go to sleep she says ‘vava vo’, which is an indication of her wanting to listen to the lullaby. Ranbir sings it to her," revealed Alia.

Karan Johar, who is also a father to twins Yash and Roohi, echoed Alia's sentiments about the influence of Malayalee nannies in the film industry. He revealed that his children have become fluent in Malayalam due to their nanny's constant presence.

The episode took a more personal turn when Karan Johar opened up about his experiences as a single father. He admitted to being the only male member in a WhatsApp group of mothers, highlighting the challenges and joys of raising children alone.

Known for his ability to predict romantic connections, Karan Johar playfully confessed that despite his matchmaking skills, he remains single. Alia Bhatt, a product of his launch in Student of the Year, playfully teased him about his “sixth sense” for chemistry.

Meanwhile, Jigra releases on October 11 in theatres. ALSO  READ: Alia Bhatt called her father ‘crying and shaking’ after panic attack before Student of the Year debut: “Emraan Hashmi was there…”
